Just a brief list of blogs / websites I’ve been looking at so far this week.
- Managing Social Media Risks – nice little piece on things companies should be keeping an eye out for when looking after a brand.
- 50 Social Media Sites That Every Business Needs a Presence on – Not sure I agree that one needs to be on all of them! But certainly an idea on what I might be missing out on.
- Brands @ Foursquare – 24 Big Brand Campaigns – not in the UK
but an interesting read. I’ve heard a few people say that Foursquare will either go huge or die by Christmas. I wonder if it’s true. - Gmail priority inbox – 5 tips for better productivity – I’m using google quite a lot at the moment and have already found this useful.
- 9 Ways to Sell Social Media to the Boss – Nice little piece with handy tips.
- Bit briefs – Marketing News, Trends and Tips – looks like a very interesting site.
- Note and Point – nifty little presentation site. Lots of great ideas.
- Camille O’Sullivan’s blog – written by her “elf”, nice read from a great singer who performs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe every year.
- The 10 People You need in your professional network – If you are thinking of developing yourself – this is a lovely read. Makes you think about your circles of friends/ colleagues etc.
- Tungle.me - I was just thinking the other day it would just be great to see if someone is available rather than know what they are doing. Def going to have a poke around this site!
- How to Wake up Early – Website with tips on getting up earlier in the morning. Not as good as Steve Pavlina though!
- 10 ways blogging can improve your life - if you are reading this post, you’ll know that I’m loving the blogging at the moment and can def see some of these benefits mentioned in this post.
- Information is beautiful - website says it better than I can – “ideas, issues, knowledge, data – visualized”
- Article from The Guardian on the recent Royal Opera House “thing”. I have to say, I disagree with most it – I think the Royal Opera House worked quickly and correctly to rectify an awkward situation. A lot of arts companies I know would have simply ignored this kind of challenge and hoped it went away! It poses the question though of social media and the masses – just because a lot of people say something – does it make it right?
- The one rule to make your social media the best programme ever - funny and an apt end to this blog post! Enjoy.
